Wonder Oil Products, Inc. was established in 1996 by Jim and Elisabeth Moores in Sultan (one hour NE of Seattle) in Washington State. They entered the emu industry in 1991 as emu ranchers growing birds for sale as livestock and for their future by-products. With a background in chemistry and extensive scientific knowledge, Jim anticipated that the fat from the bird (rendered into oil) would be its most valuable commodity and would drive the entire industry. This ultimately has become true. The product formulas, created by Jim, incorporate both natural and synthetic materials that are generally non-irritating to the skin. They believe that using "all natural" materials is not necessarily the better choice as most need more preservatives to stabilize them, can clog pores or irritate the skin. We liquidated the emu ranch in Sultan, WA, moved to Napa, CA in 2005, then to a much larger facility in Hidden Valley Lake, CA in 2009. As of April 2020, we are now located northeast of San Antonio, TX just outside of the city of Seguin.
